A taste of France in Ocho Rios, Jamaica
I have yet to go to France but I felt as though I was there when I entered the french Restaurant Le Papillon while staying at the Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios, Jamaica this past Sunday. When I stepped into the restaurant, beautiful French music was playing in the background. Lights were dimmed low and crisp white linens and candles adorned the mahogany tables. Truly a lover's paradise. Romeo, of course, was the name of my waiter and he was phenomenal. It was as if he was reading my mind. I thought of something and minutes later he was there at my table. There was a bar especially for champagne and caviar and smiles from the waitstaff were abundant. I ordered the scallops as my first course and finished with the rack of lamb. A palate cleanser was served in between courses of a delicious pineapple sorbet. Absolutely, the best meal I had while staying in Jamaica!!
